Meet The Executive Team

The administration and activities of CCSA are controlled and directed by the Executive Committee, a governing body of elected full members and the appointed Administrator. The Executive Committee consists of a chairperson, the administrator, and between five and nine additional members. Executive Committee members are elected for a term of three years with the option of serving two consecutive three-year periods.

Janine Snyman

Janine joined CCSA in 2016, acting as the administrator since. She is married to Pieter, and they have four children, Wian, Migael, Kylie and Kaleb. Janine is working at the Uniting Christian Student's Association, Extreme Life Outdoor Learning Centre, Pretoria, South Africa.

Niklaas Arangies

Niklaas & Isabel Arangies joined CCSA in 2016. They are the proud parents of four wonderful children who they love exploring new adventures with. Niklaas was elected as vice-chairperson in 2020 and has been serving as chairperson since 2021. Nik & Bella run the Moolmanshoek Leadership Centre, Eastern Free State, South Africa.

Owen Henderson

Owen joined CCSA in 2018. He and his wife, Salome manages Wortelgat Outreach Trust, Western Cape, South Africa.

Vyan Easom

Vyan had been part of the Christian camping ministry since 2006. She and her husband Shaun have served in Simon's Town, Limpopo and Stellenbosch. They have a great heart for couples in ministry.

Dr. Pieter Snyman

Pieter has a long history with CCSA where he served as Chairperson from 2011 to 2014. Pieter is the Managing Director of the Uniting Christian Students Association (UCSA) and also managing Extreme Life Outdoor Learning Centre. Pieter is also involved with the Adventure Institute and South African Adventure Industry Association.

Dr. Anna Whitehouse

Anna joined CCSA in 2017. She and her husband, Chris, established and run Phillipskop Mountain Reserve, Western Cape, South Africa. Anna serves as the EcoCare Co-ordinator for CCI WorldWide.

Gert de Bruin

Gert joined CCSA in 2018. He is the Head of Centre at Busisa Family Adventure Retreat, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. He has a passion for Worship, music and wants to see people have encounters with Jesus through nature. He is in his first term on the Executive Committee.
